Who is Going Further With Yoga for?

  • It's a very good next step along your yoga path after Starting Out With Yoga and it's a great way to expand your understanding of some of the aspects of yoga.
  • Anyone else who has taken a beginner yoga course will enjoy and learn something interesting here.
  • We've designed the program so you can learn more about the basics of yoga and how it can be used to improve your overall health.
  • Over the 4 weeks of the program, you'll have a rounded practice of yoga postures each week and get to find out something new.

What does the program include?

  • It reviews the basic principles of yoga postures and the key postures that every practice should include.
  • It introduces postures flows that start to link one posture to another, moving gently with the flow of the breath.
  • It teaches pranayama, breathing exercises for relaxation at restoring energy.
  • It gives you meditation instruction to help your practice self-awareness.
  • You'll also learn about specific postures for everyday health, including ones that help with headaches, colds, stress, and poor sleep.
  • You'll have s short introduction to the Chakras: the energy centres in the body and how certain postures relate to the opening of certain Chakras.
  • The teacher will also familiarize you with the 8-stage path of yoga, which helps all yoga practitioners, new and experienced, understand the path they are on.
  • And there will be a brief introduction to Ayurveda, the yogic science of diet that helps us to make food choices that keep our body healthy and mind balanced.
